What is CapTel?

Short for Captioned Telephone, CapTel is a telephone designed for people with hearing loss. It works like other amplified telephones, with an important addition: Every word your caller says is displayed on the CapTel screen to read. Similar to closed captioning for TV.

About Michael Atteo

Michael Atteo, a rare Florida native, has been with CapTel Outreach since 2015, but his grandmother was a CapTel user for years, which sparked his interest in having a career that helps people with hearing loss. Michael is grateful for the opportunity to provide Central Florida residents with a phone that can give them back their independence. Please contact Michael if you'd like to have a conversation about CapTel, and to find out how you or someone you know can get one.
