What is CapTel?

Short for Captioned Telephone, CapTel is a telephone designed for people with hearing loss. It works like other amplified telephones, with an important addition: Every word your caller says is displayed on the CapTel screen to read. Similar to closed captioning for TV.

About Kristine Beatty

Kristine joined the OEI team in the fall of 2015. Kristine recently moved to the Charlotte area to be closer to family, enjoy warmer weather, and to introduce the CapTel Captioned Telephone technology to a whole new community of people who are in need. Kristine is passionate about her family, friends, animals (especially her cats Sebastian and Alaska), the outdoors, and making a difference in the lives of others. Kristine's motto: "I'll never live a day of my life without trying to make someone else smile!"
